LIVE MATH
Calculated Blank Flat Pattern Dimensions:
Bend Allowance (BA) 0.1979 in
Outside Setback (OSSB) 0.1800 in
Bend Deduction (BD) 0.1621 in

Flat Pattern Blank Length Rule: Total Flat Blank = Flange A + Flange B − Bend Deduction ($BD$).

Frequently Asked Engineering Questions

Detailed answers regarding our Plainville facility capabilities, material certifications, testing protocols, and defense contract compliance.

Q: How does K-factor differ from Bend Deduction?

K-factor is a dimensionless ratio ($t/T$) representing the shift of the neutral axis inward during plastic deformation. Bend Deduction ($BD$) is the total linear dimension subtracted from the sum of both flange lengths to arrive at the flat blank cut length.
