Powder coating applied over cutting oils, shop dust, or microscopic laser residue will blister and peel. Fabtron's automated overhead monorail wash line subjects every part to high-pressure heated alkaline degreasing and chemical conversion coating before the part ever enters the spray booth.

140°F heated aqueous detergent sprays dissolve stamping lubricants, tapping fluids, and shop grease from deep interior chassis crevices.

Stage 2: Iron Phosphate

Micro-Etch Conversion

Chemical conversion deposits a microscopic crystalline phosphate coating on steel and aluminum, increasing surface area for mechanical powder interlocking.

Stage 3: DI Water Rinse

Zero-Residue Drying

Final pure deionized water rinse removes mineral salts, followed by an in-line dry-off oven to ensure zero flash rust before powder application.
